Installation & Care
Installation
- Most of our fixtures are hardwired and should be installed by a licensed electrician.
- Always switch off power at the circuit breaker before installing or servicing a fixture.
- Check that your ceiling box is rated to support the weight of the fixture, especially for larger chandeliers.
- Follow the instructions included in the box, and check that all parts are present before you begin.
- Use bulbs of the type and maximum wattage listed for your fixture.
Cleaning and care
- Glass shades and globes: once cool, wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth. Remove glass and wash it gently with mild soapy water, then dry fully before refitting.
- Crystal: wipe each crystal with a soft cloth, or use a spray designed for crystal chandeliers with the power off.
- Fabric and woven shades: dust with a soft brush or a vacuum on low with a brush attachment. Avoid water.
- Metal finishes: wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which can damage brass, gold and painted finishes.
- Never clean a fixture while it is switched on or still warm.
